It is also the largest amount of magnetic material used in power transformers. Especially suitable for low-frequency and high-power applications. Commonly used are cold-rolled silicon steel sheet DG3, cold-rolled non oriented electrical steel strip DW, and cold-rolled oriented electrical steel strip DQ. They are suitable for medium and small power low-frequency transformers, chokes, reactors, and inductor cores in various electronic systems and household appliances. These alloys have good toughness and can be processed through punching, cutting, and other processes. The iron cores are available in both laminated and wound types. But at high frequencies, the loss increases sharply, and the general usage frequency does not exceed 400Hz.
