What is the difference between nph, npf, and nps magnetic cores
Firstly, they are different series of magnetic cores from Platinum, with different optimal usage frequencies. NPF and NPH represent magnetic cores made of iron silicon material, while NPS represents magnetic cores made of iron silicon aluminum material.
The magnetic powder core products produced and manufactured by Platinum Technology have the following excellent characteristics:
Low magnetostriction, no noise;
Low loss, high DC bias capability;
It is completely bonded with inorganic compound, and the product performance is stable.
NPH FeSi second-generation (FeSi2.0) is suitable for low loss metal powder cores in high-efficiency power supplies.
It has distributed air gaps, high saturation magnetic flux density, ultra-low losses, low magnetostriction coefficient, and stable temperature and frequency characteristics. Generally used in variable frequency air conditioning and server power supply.
The NPF series has a saturation magnetic flux density of up to 15000 Gauss, making it an ideal choice to replace high cost iron nickel (High Flux) magnetic cores;
It has a 6.5% ferrosilicon alloy with distributed air gap, high saturation magnetic flux density, excellent DC bias characteristics, smaller losses than iron powder cores, and good temperature stability. It is generally used in photovoltaic inverters and UPS uninterruptible power supplies.
The NPS iron silicon aluminum series has low loss, good DC bias ability, and better cost-effectiveness than similar iron silicon aluminum (Sendust) magnetic cores;
It has iron, silicon, and aluminum alloys, excellent loss characteristics, good DC bias characteristics, low magnetostriction, and good temperature stability. It is generally used in PFC inductors and industrial power supplies.
